Israelian M 1949 bayonet (ABC N 409-1 (JN 116-3 ) (K 146)

Mauser M 84-98 Carbine. Serial number: 26633 on pommel. Excellent dark parkerized fullered heavy blade with a long fuller running to the point and a long false edge. Ricasso is marked with Hebrew markings, Israeli inspection markings and date (19) 49. Parkerized pommel and crossguard marked with a Star of David and muzzle ring; MRD 15,5 mm. (Too short!) worn black plastic grips with 6 ribs secured to the tang by two brass screw bolts. No flash guard.
Excellent parkerized scabbard. The parkerized scabbard is marked near the throat with the same Hebrew text and date 49 as on the ricasso. Austrian style frog stud is marked with a Star of David and one more Israeli  inspection marking. No dents.

Very nice very crudely made heavy bayonet. Historic piece! Made in Israel and it is believed these are made from old railway bars. Very interesting piece.
