Description
Mauser M 1898 rifle, French Lebel rifle, Russian Mosin Nagant (with adapter). No serial number. Excellent bright finished fullered blade with German inspection marking ( Part of a Wurtenberg antler mark!) on the ricasso and an unreadable other German inspection marking on the blade spine. Green painted sheet steel hilt with oil hole near the crossquard. T-O slot in more angular pommel. Excellent casted two piece crossguard with double diameter open type muzzle ring.
Comes with its "feldgrau" painted ersatz scabbard marked: FAG in an oval on the reverse side. Several small dents to the scabbard only.
