German M 1917 ersatz (ESOC)bayonet, Enfield socket blade (ABCN1097-1)(K650)(JN97-4)(EB69)

German M 1888 Commission rifle and Mauser M 1898 rifle. Excellent blued finished British M 1853 triangular fullered socket blade with no markings. Feldgrau painted steel hilt with oil cleaning hole above the blade. T-O slot in pommel. Two part crossguard with a double diameter open muzzle ring. 
No scabbard.
Total length 565 mm.  

This is a very rare German ersatz socket (ESOC) bayonet, made during WWI from a German ersatz hilt and the blade of a captured British M 1853 socket bayonet.
