Czechoslovakian M 1924 bayonet, made during German occupation by Bystrica Werke. (ABCN602)(K197)(JN35-2)
German G33/40 Mountain troops carbine and Czech VZ24 short rifle(G24(9t.)) Serial number: 205 in large digits on crossguard. Excellent dark blued fullered blade with cutting edge up. Ricasso is marked with the logo of the Waffenfabrik Bystrica Werke: Z in a double circle. and a tiny German Waffenambt marking; German Eagle over A80 on the reverse side. Excellent blued pommel and crossguard. Made without a muzzle ring. Crossguard is riveted to the blade tang. Excellent wooden grips affixed with screw bolts and an oil hole.
Excellent blued scabbard with a very faint Waffenambt marking on the frog stud.
Seitengewehren 24(T) were newly made by the Germans without a muzzle ring during the German occupation of Czechoslovekia in 1940-1943. These were made at Brünn Werke, Brno (these were "dot" stamped) and at Bystrica Werke. The Bystrica made bayonets were produced in much smaller numbers than the dot marked bayonets and are quite rare! They produced 115.000 bayonets only.
