English M1903 bayonet by EFD, Unit marked.(ABCN5786-b)(K 181) (JN 57-1)
British SMLE .303 rifle. Excellent blued double edged blade with a central rib. Crown over ER (Edward Rex) 1903 and date 1 '04 on the ricasso. The reverse side is marked /I\, EFD, Enfield inspection marking and a bending mark: X. Blade spine is marked with another Enfield inspection marking. Excelent blued pommel with oil hole and blued crossquard with muzzle ring. MRD 16.5 mm. Pommel is unit marked: 2.G.I. over 431. Mortise slot is marked: 11 G over I. Excellent wooden grips secured by two screws bolts.
Excellent and correct black leather MkI scabbard with all stitches intact. No dents to the bright finished fittings, only light pitting to the chape. The throat is marked: 924 and a cancelled serial number 790. The black leather body is marked; WD, /I\ EFD, Enfield inspection marking and date '01.
