Description
Enfield 303. No.4 rifle. Excellent crudely made an blackened socket, marked /I\ M 158 on the top. (= maker's code for J.Lucas Ltd., Chesterstreet, Birmingham). Excellent round bright finished, blade brazed to the socket.
Comes with its Excellent US made, plastic MKIII scabbard with alloy throat.
Comes with its minty Indian made MK4 khaki frog, marked on the reverse side: CA 1944 O/I\328
The No.4 MKIII bayonet model was declared obsolete in 1946 and is less common than the No4 MkII socket bayonet.
