Dutch M 1876 Cavalry officers sword hilt as a candle stick holder. This is a very nice re-use of a broken heavy Dutch cavalry officers sword. Made from a very large, not plated, steel hilt. It has a very large guard and an intact and excellent wooden grip covered by ray skin. German makers trademark: Knight helmet (= Kirschbaum - Solingen) is still on the ricasso. The candle stick holder is complete detachable.
This early M 1876 sword was made around 1890
Total height: 23 cm. Total width approx. 12 cm.
