Belgian FN Mauser M 1889 Infantry carbine. Serial number: L 3872 Matching! on the crossguard. Excellent bright finished fullered blade. Belgian inspection marking: Crown over HF in a trilob on the ricasso. Excellent- bright finished T-slotted pommel and crossguard with forward swept guillon showing fine user spurs only. MRD 17.5 mm. Reverse crossguard is regimental marked : J. (= 10th. Line Regiment)  and a tiny N in a box stamp on the blade spine. Excellent wooden grips secured by two screw bolts and washers.
Very good blackened steel scabbard with no dents. Frog stud with matching serial number and regiment number:  L over 3872 and J.(=10th. Line Regiment)
