Description
Swiss black leather frog only for a M 1842, M 1852 or a M 1878 Swiss Pioneer / Engineer sawback short sword. Very good large black frog with a steel buckle with roller. Reverse side is stamped with the Swiss makers name and residence : J.VETERLI STEIN A/R.
Note: This frog was once used for a combination with a socket bayonet. The so called: Gotthartbesteck. Buckle, strap and loop for the socket bayonet are removed.
