Spanish M 1822 Infantry officers spadroon (Ref. Espadas Espanolas, Page 144)

Spanish Infantry officers spadroon M 1822.  Excellent long straight bright finished unusual blade with floral motives. No gilt and blue to the blade. Blade is marked: FABRICA D TOLEDO in large letters. The blade starts from the ricasso as a fullered blade and ended as a plain double edged blade. Beautiful fine ribbed single piece hard wood grip. Hilt with a brass urn shaped pommel and single hand guard with quillon with round crown shaped final. Brass folding clam shell crossguard. Folding clamp shell is a bit loose.
Excellent all steel field service scabbard with a single loose hanging ring and no dents. 
Total length 104 cm. Width at the ricasso 2 cm.
