US M 16 and AR18 rifle. Minty parkerized blade with a false edge. Parkerized M7 pommel riveted to the hilt. Two piece black checkered grip, fixed to the blade tang by two screw bolts. Parkerized crossguard with muzzle ring MRD 22 mm. Crossguard is marked: US M7 over BOC (= BAUER ORDNANCE CORPORATION, Detroit-Michigan).
Comes with its green plastic scabbard with a steel top mount marked: US M8AI over VIZ (= VIZ Manufacturing company. Philadelphia-Pennsylvania) Tip is reinforced by steel chape with a lace hole.
Integrated green webbing wit retaining strap and US belt hooks.

BOC made the No7 Type II bayonet 1n the fiscal year 1969.
