Austro-Hungarian M 1888 bayonet by OEWG. Unit marked.(ABCN388-1)(K112)(JN98-1)

Austrian Mannlicher rifle M 1888 Kal. 8 mm. Serial number: 6431 A on the crossguard. Excellent - bright finished fullered blade. Some very light field sharpening of the edge of the blade only. Cutting edge downwards. Ricasso is marked with the Austrian makers trademark: OEWG and the reverse side with an Austrian Crest.  Excellent bright finished pommel and bright finished crossguard with muzzle ring MRD 16.5 mm. and fastener on top. The reverse side is Austrian Unit marked: 27. R. 6169. (= 27th. Infantry Regiment: Albert I, King of Belgium) - Garrison: Laibach  {Ljubljana}, rifle number: 6169.) Very good wooden grips riveted to the blade tang. Blade tang is marked: RO
Very good wartime green painted steel scabbard with no dents. Frog stud with trademark of Austrian maker: V.&N.(= Vogel & Noot) and an Austrian Crest.

Austrian M 1888 bayonets are becoming harder to find!
