German M 1884/98 bayonet, Third model, WWII by S178 G (= Gebr. Heller GmbH, Marienthal - 1935) (ABCN455-1)(K143)(JN100-2)
Mauser K98. Serial number: 5684 over d on the ricasso. Excellent fullered blued blade with secret makers mark: S 178 G (= S code of: Gebr. Heller GmbH- Marienthal 1935) on the ricasso. Reverse side with serial number. Excellent blued pommel and crossguard. Flash gard with no serieus dents. Two early German droopwing Waffenambt markings 73 on the pommel. Excellent wooden grips, secured to the tang by two screw bolts.
Very good (not matching) same maker and date marked scabbard: S 178 G with serial number 9124 over f, with small dents near the tip only.
