German M 1884/98 bayonet, Third model, WWII by S/185 G (= Elite- Diamant 1935. (ABCN455-1)(K143)(JN100-2)
Mauser K98. Serial number: 2464 over c on the ricasso. Excellent fullered blued blade with secret makers mark and date code: S /185 G (= Elite - Diamant G=1935) crisp on the ricasso. Reverse side with serial number. Excellent blued pommel and crossguard. Flash gard with usual light user spurs only. Two early German droopwing Waffenambt markings on the pommel. Excellent wooden grips, secured to the tang by two screw bolts.
Excellent (not matching) maker and dated steel scabbard: MUNDLOS over 1938 with serial number: 9257 over a. No dents to the scabbard, some spots with light peppering only.
