German M 1884/98 bayonet, Third model, WWII by S172 (Carl Eickhorn) (ABCN455-1)(K143)(JN100-2)
Mauser K98. Serial number: 4411 over b on the ricasso. Excellent fullered blued blade with secret makers mark: S 172 (= S code of Carl Eickhorn- Solingen ) on the ricasso. Reverse side with serial number and dated '36 on the blade spine. Excellent blued pommel and crossguard. Flash gard with no serieus dents. Two early German droopwing Waffenambt markings WA256 on pommel. Very good wooden grips, showing some light abuse only, secured to the tang by two screw bolts.
Excellent (not matching) wartime maker marked and later dated blued scabbard, with user spurs but no dents, marked: 42 crs (= Paul Weyersberg & Co 1942) and the serial number: 1890 over e on the reverse side.
