Belgian M 1949 SAFN bayonet used by Belgium. Crown over JF marked (ABCN314-1)(K81)(JN20-2)
SAFN 30 cal. 30-06 Serial number: 2990 on the pommel. Excellent bright finished double edged blade with a central rib. Darkened pommel with a T-O slot and crossguard with muzzle ring. MRD 18 mm. Left side of the pommel is type marked: S.A. 30, Crown over JF. (=Belgian Acceptance marking) and the serial number. Oil holes in grip. Excellent wooden grips secured to the blade tang by screw bolts.
Excellent blackened steel scabbard with no dents and a crisp Crown over JF. on the frog stud..
An export bayonet, but this Crown over JF marked example was in use by the Belgian army.
