Belgian M 1916/35, Infantry bayonet. Unit marked: 1. Chasseurs Ardennais.(ABC N 1091-3)(JN18-2)(K 337)

Belgian Mauser Rifle M 1935 and M 1889/36 short rifle. Kal. 7.65. Serial number: 214 on the crossguard. Excellent bright finished  double edged "fish bone"blade. Ricasso is marked with a large B. Excellent bright finished pommel and crossguard. Muzzle ring is bushed muzzle to a MRD of 15.4 mm. Crossguard is very crisp regimental marked: 214. 1 Ch A. (= First Regiment Chasseurs Ardennais /3. Regiment Ardeense Jagers, rifle no. 214). Excellent wooden grips.
Excellent- black painted steel scabbard with a different serial number: 13 over 3954 on the oval frog stud. The scabbard shows some slight dents and user spurs only. (ABCN109 2b)

M 1916 bayonet. The hilt is welded together and not made out of one piece of steel which was the second model made in 1917. (M1916/17). The M 1916 and M 1916/17 were made during The Great War in France by Belgium sword makers.

After WWI and before WWII a great many were bushed to a MRD of 15,4 mm. (M 1916/35) to fit a FN Mauser M 1935 rifle /carbine. 
This one is unit marked to a famous Belgian Jaeger infantry regiment! First Regiment Chasseurs Ardennais/3. Regiment Ardeense Jagers( 18-daagse veldtocht 1940! )
