British 303 no.5 Jungle carbine MK1 and MK2. Minty blackened fullered blade with Bowie tip. Blackened pommel with circular mortise slot and clearance hole. Pommel is braised to the blade tang. British makers dispersal code: M/78 (= Elkington & Co. Ltd. - Birmingham) and a /I\ crisp on the back of the hilt . Minty wrap around 2 parts wooden grip secured by two screw bolts. Blackened crossguard with muzzle ring MRD 22.5 . Another /I\ on the top of the pommel.
Blackened dents free No.5 Mk 2. scabbard with a brass throat.
