English General Service Mark II Black Leather Bayonet Frog. 1899. (AC 81)

English General Service (GS) Brown Leather Bayonet Frog Mark II. (1899) Bayonet belt frog for the M 1888  bayonet. Also used with the M 1903 bayonet. Excellent large dark brown to black bayonet frog with a cross strap and a brass buckle on the left side.  All stitches intact and parts fixed with 8 tinned copper rivets and washers. The reverse side is faint marked: 25 and 42 
Height: 23,5 cm. 

This frog model (GS Mark II) was introduced in 1899  and supplied to the infantry only.
