Austro- Hungarian M 1867 Full length Werndl bayonet (ABCN1893)(K483)(JN0)

Werndl M 1867 rifle. Excellent bright finished full length  fullered yatagan blade with crisp Austrian crest and GF on the ricasso and the Austrian makers trademark and name: STRIBERNI.ANT. in a circle. (= Stanislaus Striberni- Vienna) Excellent bright finished pommel and crossguard with muzzle ring and large quillon. MRD 18.3 mm. Large round sight op top of the muzzle ring. Screwed on external spring and catch with large push button. Very crisp reg. marked: 44 Z over 228. (= 44th Infantry Regiment Erzhertog Albrecht, Budapest-Hungary. Weapon 228) on the quillon.  Excellent checkered black leather grips fixed with four metal pins to the blade tang.
Excellent black painted and correct steel scabbard with no serieus dents. 

Extremely rare full length bayonet in an excellent condition! The Austrian M 1867 Werndl bayonet was official shortened in 1873. Full length models are very seldom encountered.
