Serbian Mauser Milanovitch M 1880 rifle and M 1884 artillery carbine. Serial number 52 on crossguard. Very hard to read German makers name: GEBR.WEYERSBERG over SOLINGEN on the ricasso. Excellent long bright finished fullered yatagan blade with Serbian inspection markings on blade spine. Excellent bright finished pommel and crossguard. T-slot in pommel. Very nice wooden grips riveted to the tang. Muzzle ring removed and crossguard rivets grind away.
No scabbard.
This is an extremely rare and very well German made Mauser Milanovitch bayonet, modified by Turkey and prob. used as a side arm.
It was used on the Balkan at the outbreak of WW1.
