"Nederlands Cavalerie Officierssabel M 1876. Lange sabel No.2./ Dutch Cavalry officers sword M 1876. No.2. Superb long curved fullered bright finished slim blade. Red felt washer intact. Dutch retailers name and residence: F. SCHOONMAN, BREDA (1870-1890) in a scroll on the blade side. YZERHOUWER in a scroll on the reverse. Ricasso marked with a German makers trademark: Kings head and knight helmet over W.K.& C (= Weyersberg & Kirschbaum-Solingen. Trademark used from 1883 - 1918) Excellent bright finished steel hilt, steel hand guard with knuckle bow and three side bars and a forward swept quillon. Excellent+ wooden grip, covered with ray skin and a complete twisted silver wire winding.
Very good steel scabbard with a single loose hanging ring. There no serieus dents to the scabbard, only a few user spurs.
