Swiss M 1914 Plated Pioneer bayonet by ELSENER SCHWYZ. (ABC N 1314)(K 389) (JN 185-3)

Schmidt-Rubin M 1911 Carbine. Serial number: 798785 on the crossguard . Minty long bright finished 65 sharp teeth sawback blade, swelled to the point and with fuller on one side. Ricasso marked with scarce Swiss maker's name: ELSENER over SCHWYZ on the ricasso. Large chromium plated pommel and crossguard. MRD 14 mm to fit M 1911 carbine. Working catch. Short straight quillon with a Swiss cross marking.  Excellent light wooden grips riveted to tang with 2 large plated rivets.
Excellent blued all steel scabbard. Intact leather strap. Ball final is marked with a Swiss cross. Scabbard top mount is marked with a large script P and the throat is marked with an automatic rifle stamp.  

ELSENER-SCHWYZ is a rarer maker for this model. Very nice plated example.
