Swedish Mauser M 1896 6.5 mm. / M 1935 short rifle and AG42b Ljungmann self loading rifle, Serial number: 102 on the ricasso and crossguard facing the blade. Fantastic bright finished blade with a narrow central fuller marked with Swedish maker's trademark: Crown over large C (= Carl Gustaf, Stads Gevärsfaktori -Eskilstuna) and a crown over the serial number on the reversed ricasso. Excellent one piece steel tubular chequered hilt with a cylindrical press catch fitted to the pommel of the hilt. Crossguard with a short backwards swept quillon and a muzzle a ring: MRD 15.5 mm. Crossguard is Regimental marked: KA 1. 1239 (= Kungl. Vaxholm Kustartilleriregimente,(Royal Coastal Artillery Regiment of Vaxholm.) weapon number 1239) small Crown on the quillon. Facing the blade the crossguard is marked with another matching serial number: 102 and another makers mark: Crown over C.
Excellent all steel scabbard free of dents, crisp same regiment marked: KA 1. over 1065. Finial is marked with an serial number: 040 and there is a Crown on the reverse side. Scabbard throat is marked with the serial number: 040 and and again a Crown over C marking.
Comes with its Excellent and correct shortened and modified M 1914 brown leather frog as found. (AC 405/406)
