Norwegian made US M4 bayonet.(ABCN139-4)(K22)(JN0)

US M1 Carbine, Minty dark parkerized blade with long false edge. Beautiful round handle, made from a stack of brown leather washers and six grooves. All rings are intact and have sharp edges. The first and the last spacer, inserted close to the pommel and the crossguard, are made from brown plastic. Straight crossguard with muzzle ring MRD 14,75 mm. Crossguard is USM 4 marked over a crisp Norwegian (Kongsberg )Arsenal marking. The pommel with two spring loaded locking catches is marked with another Norwegian Kongsberg inspection marking. T- slot in pommel. 
Excellent green plastic scabbard with a lace hole in the tip. Throat is marked  USM8A1 over a crisp Kongsberg inspection marking. Green integral webbing with a US belt hook and a retaining strap. Leather lace in lace hole.

These were made around 1952-53 at the Kongsberg Arsenal and were used with US M1 carbines delivered in 1945 and are quite rare,
