"Nederlands Infanterie officiers sabel M. 1852 " / Dutch Infantry officers sword M 1852. Excellent heavy curved bright finished fullered blade. German maker trademark: Knight helmet and Kings head over W.K.& Co (= Weyersberg Kirschbaum & co. - Solingen) on the right ricasso. Dutch retailers name and residence: J. W. SCHOONMAN-STOEL over BREDA in a scroll (around 1900) on the right blade side. The reverse side is marked with the Dutch quality marking: YZERHOUWER in a scroll. Intact red washer.
Excellent detachable M 1852 brass hilt with a cast brass pommel and an one piece brown horn grip with an intact twisted silver wire winding. Brass hand guard with a single side bar. Crossguard with forward swept guillon.
Excellent- Berlin-silver scabbard with a single loose hanging rings. Some small dents towards the drag only.
Excellent later made Dutch M 1852 infantry officers sword. Made around 1890 or somewhat later. This model was replaced in 1897
