"Nederlands infanterie officiers M 1912 - "Buitenmodel" wandelsabel-" / Dutch M 1912 Infantry officers "Special Order model". Excellent bright finished slightly curved fullered blade. Excellent brass hilt with a older style lion head and knuckle bow. The brass back of the hilt with so called: "ears". Crossguard with forward swept quillon with puma head. Excellent black ebony grip with a single twisted silver wire winding.
Excellent silver nickel plated metal scabbard. One loose hanging ring. Some user spurs only and a small dent on one side near the drag.
Length 102 cm. Width at the ricasso; 2,1 cm
The M 1912 infantry officers sword is in use from 1912 on to present day. This is a scarce "Special Order model"/ "Buitenmodel" which was made in Germany at Eickhorn-Solingen. It is a more luxery model, popular between the two wars and not often encountered.
