Hungarian M 1935 Cavalry NCO bayonet (ABCN739-2) (K 234)(JN 113-2/4)
Hungarian Mannlicher M35 an M1943 rifle/ PM M1939/43. Serial number: A-9535 on the crossguard. Cavalry NCO model. Excellent long bright finished double edged heavy blade with a central rib. First 2 cm are blackened. Blackened crossguard with a working French Lebel style catch and muzzle ring with an adjustable cavalry sight on top and a NCO hooked quillon. Muzzle ring MRD 15,2 mm. Excellent round blackened steel pommel with a screwed on NCO lanyard loop. Excellent one piece cylindrical wooden grip with no cracks.
Excellent and correct green painted steel scabbard with a round finial showing no dents. Austrian style frog stud is stamped with a Hungarian Crest.
Very rare M 1935 Cavalry NCO bayonet, not easy to find and the rarest out of the four M 1935 bayonets versions.
A - serial number indicates bright finished made before 1940. After 1940 all M 1935 bayonets were send back to the arsenal and blackened.
