Mauser M71 rifle/Mauser M71/84 rifle / Werder M1869 Rifle. Excellent bright finished fullered blade. German makers name and residence: P. D. LÜNESCHLOSS - SOLINGEN in three lines on the ricasso. Blade spine is crisp Saxon marked and dated: Crown over A. over '80 over a Saxon Inspection marking: Crown over S (= King Albert of Saxony 1873-1902 ). Excellent brass grip with a blued external spring. Excellent bright finished steel crossguard with quillon and muzzle ring. MRD 17,4 mm. Crossguard is Saxon unit marked: 102. R. 4. 42. Excellent tooled black leather scabbard with brass fittings. No dents to the marked fittings and all stitches intact. Two nicks to the leather body only Top mount is crisp matching unit marked: 102. R. 4. 42. Throat is double marked: Crown over F and O
