German M 1916 ersatz bayonet (ABCN586-1)(K192)(JN93-1)(EB47)
German Mauser M 1898 Rifle, M 1888 rifle and French Lebel and Russian Mosin-Nagant rifles with adapter. Ersatz bayonet. Excellent bright finished straight fullered blade. (Ref. EB47). Gothic inspection marking on the blade spine.
Excellent black painted two part steel hilt, riveted together. Oil hole in grip. Grossguard with a short round backward swept quillon. Open double diameter muzzle ring.
Excellent and correct black painted steel Type V ersatz scabbard with no serieus dents.
Black painted ersatz bayonets, and not field gray panted, were issued to the cavalry, the motor transport drivers (Kraftfahrer) and motor cyclists (Kraftradfahrer)
