German M 1914 Sawback bayonet with flash guard, Type I by SAMSONWERK. (ABCN644-5)(K214)(JN88-3)
German M 1898 Mauser carbine. No s#. Superb long bright finished fullered blade with 42 sharp dents in the blade spine. Ricasso bears crisp German makers name: SAMSONWERK. Blade spine with Gothic inspection marking. Bright finished large rounded pommel with T-O slot. Pommel shows another Gothic inspection mark. Excellent bright finished crossguard with no muzzle ring. Excellent wooden grips with oil hole are riveted to the blade tang.
Rare variation with a flash guard!
Excellent and correct black painted steel scabbard, it has a ball final and no dents.
Very rare M 1914 variation with a flash guard for the Mauser M98 carbine in a fantastic condition. The second one we ever encountered!
