German M 1884/98 bayonet frog by TEXLED - LITZMANNSTADT. 1943.(Poland)(AC564
German M 1884/98 bayonet frog. Excellent+ flexible dark brown to black leather bayonet frog, made with 4 brass rivets and brass washers. Oval frog opening. Central stitching. The retaining strap is removed. Reverse side is marked between the rivets: TEXLED over LITZMANNSTADT over 1943 making this frog a extremely interesting and rare maker markt frog.
It was manufactured by Texled - Litzmannstadt in 1943. Texled was a SS company that produced uniforms, frogs, etc. This work was done by Jewish slaves housed in the Ghetto of Lotz (Litzmannstadt) Poland and at the concentration camp of Ravensbrück.
