German M 1884/98 bayonet, Third model, WWII by E.u.F. Horster '40. (ABCN455-1)(K143)(JN100-2)
Mauser K98. Serial number: 6995 over i on the ricasso. Excellent fullered blued blade with German makers makers name: E. u. F. Horster and the date 1940 crisp on the blade spine. Reverse side with serial number. Excellent blued pommel and crossguard. Excellent+ flash gard and two crisp German WaA Waffenambt markings on the pommel. Excellent bakelite grips, secured to the tang by two screw bolts.
Excellent blued steel scabbard: letter code marked 44 fnj (= Alexander Coppel 1944) and serial number: 2282 over N. No dents to the scabbard.
