German M 1884/98 bayonet, Third model, WWII by S/176 '36.(Paul Weyersberg) (ABCN455-1)(K143)(JN100-2)
Mauser K98. Serial number: 2420 over a on the ricasso. Excellent++_ fullered blued blade with German makers secret code: S/176 (= Paul Weyersberg u. Co. - Solingen) and the date 1936 crisp on the blade spine. Muzzle ring part is marked : H. Reverse side with serial number. Excellent++ blued pommel and crossguard. Excellent+ flash gard and two faint German WaA Waffenambt markings on the pommel. Excellent black bakelite grips, secured to the tang by two screw bolts.
Excellent (not matching) maker and dated blued steel scabbard: S/174 over 36 (= Weyersberg - Kirschbaum- Solingen 1936) and serial number: 4101. No dents to the scabbard.
Very nice not matching example.
