Description
Mauser M98 rifle. Excellent bright finished fullered blade. German maker's name and trademark: Twins over J.A.HENCKELS over ZWILLINGWERKE crisp on the ricasso. Prussian W over date: 17 and a crown over a Gothic inspection mark very crisp on the blade spine.
Excellent bright finished crossguard and pommel with T-O slot and a crown over a Gothic inspection marking.
Excellent wooden grips secured with screw bolts to the blade tang and an Excellent flash guard.
Very good and correct WWI scabbard with no dents, but there are two patches of pitting to the top of scabbard on the front side and to the frog stud. Finial of the scabbard with a German inspection marking.
