German(Bavaria) M 1869 Werder bayonet by W.&.S. - Solingen. Steel scabbard and Unit marked.(ABCN1194)(K359)(JN13-4)

Werder M 1869 nM rifle. Serial number: 24276 on the right side of the crossguard. Excellent altered bright finished fullered somewhat graying yatagan blade. German maker's logo: SOLINGEN in a arch over W.&. S.  (= Weyersberg & Stamm -SOLINGEN) on the ricasso. Massive brass grip with a T-slot.  Excellent blued external spring. Modified quillon and crossguard. Muzzle ring with fastening screw. MRD 17.3 mm. Crosguard is Bavarian unit marked: J L R Amsberg crown ' E (= Etappe Landwehr Jaeger Batallion)
Comes with its extremely rare and correct steel scabbard with an olive shape frog stud, showing a couple of small dents only.(See last picture)

This is a scarce Bavarian M 1869 bayonet, altered in 1875 by making the blade lighter and modifying the quillon.
