Finnish M 1962 Valmet bajonet, Second pattern (ABCN52-1)(K7)(JN66-3)
Finnish Valmet R K 62 Automatic rifle. Second Pattern. No serial number as usual. Minty blackened sharpened straight plain fixed blade with a smal false edge. Dark gray/green two piece plastic ribbed grip, fixed to the blade tang by three brass rivets. 13 ribs to the grip. Mortise slot forming one single piece with the blade. No crossguard. Catch position is close the ricasso. No makers name to the grips.(= Second Pattern)
Minty typical Finnish green leather scabbard with integrated green leather belt frog. The scabbard is closed on one side with 11 galvanized steel rivets.
These were made by FISKARS and Hackmann after 1970. This is the Second Pattern, made early 1970.
Near Mint and a beautiful example. Rare bayonet, seldom encountered.!
