English M1913 bayonet by REMINGTON USA, US re-use. (ABCN1039-3)(K 321)(JN 223-1)

 Lee Enfield M1914/US M17. Excellent parkerized fullered blade with US makers logo: REMINGTON in a circle over model: 1913 and date 9 '17 very crisp on ricasso. On the reverse side is a punched out British inspection marking, another British inspection marking not punched out: Crown over E8 over A, There is a bend test mark: X and a new added US marking. Excellent parkerized pommel with no oil hole and crossguard with muzzle ring MRD 15,5 mm.
Excellent walnut wooden grips with two nuts.
Very good and correct black leather scabbard with all stitches intact. Round frog stud on top mount and no dents. staples missing in chape only

This bayonet was a part of the English WWII rifle and bayonet contract. This one was not delivered and was used by the America army with canceled British inspection markings and added US markings.
