English M 1907 bayonet. First pattern with hook by EFD. Unit marked to the Royal Berkshire Regiment. (ABCN1022)(K316)(JN57-2)
British Lee Enfield (SMLE) No.7 rifle. First pattern with hooked quillon and no oil hole in the pommel. Excellent bright finished blade. First 2 cm blackened. Ricasso is crisp marked with the English maker mark: EFD (=Enfield Arsenal) and Crown over ER over 1907 over a very crisp date: 11'08. Clear British (Enfield) inspection marks, /I\, X, on the reverse side of the ricasso. Excellent blued pommel with muzzle ring and hooked quillon. MRD 16,5 mm. Pommel shows a crisp British unit marking: B. R. K. over R. 786 (= The Princess Charlotte of Wales - Royal Berkshire Regiment, Rifle No. 786).
Excellent dark walnut grips secured by two screw bolts top the blade tang..
Excellent black leather scabbard with blued mounts. Top mount with and a olive shape frog stud. Leather body is crisp marked: A C /I\ and an Enfield inspection marking. All stitches arenintact and there are no dents to the mounts.
Beautiful early genuine No.7 bayonet set in an Excellent condition.
