English M 1888 MKI Lee Metford bayonet, second type by ENFIELD. (ABCN561)(K175)(JN55-2)

British Lee Metford M 1888 rifle. Second type bayonet. Serial number: 154. on the pommel. Superb bright finished double edged blade. The ricasso is crisp marked; Crown over VR,  10 '98. The reverse side is maker marked /I\ over EFD (=Enfield) and X  plus an Enfield inspection mark: Crown over 58 over E.  Blade spine is marked: Crown over D4 over E.  Excellent bright finished pommel with serial number: 154 and another cancelled serial number: 304.  Bright finished crossguard with muzzle ring. MRD 16,5 mm. Excellent wooden grips fixed with two brass rivets. Left grip shows another number in large digits:  4 9 1 4.  Oil hole in grip. Blade tang is crisp marked; Crown over 10 over M. and the opperside: M only.
Excellent+ black leather MK1. scabbard with bright finished fittings. There is a faint serial number on the frog stud. All stitches intact and no dents to the marked fittings.
