Scabbard only, for the shortened M 1874 Gras bayonet used by British Volunteer Training Corps. Very good blackened metal scabbard with an oval frog stud with typical "wings" on the stud. Two French inspection marks close to the frog stud. Scabbard length 33,5 cm / c. 13 Inch. Light peppering all over but no dents.

Pretty hard to find scabbard for a rare bayonet.

Regarding to Anthony Carter in his book German Bayonets, Volume 3, page 233, this unique British modified French M 1874 Gras bayonet was used as a training bayonet by the Volunteer Training Corps during WWI.  Very rare and very interesting British bayonet! Also see item Nb. EN 100 on this site.
