Danish Garand GM50 rifle. no serial number. Danish M 62 bayonet. Excellent grey parkerised double edged blade with large false edge. No marking as usual. Excellent T-slotted metal peened pommel and crossguard with no markings. Excellent two piece black plastic checkered grip secured by two screws. Catch release button close to the crossguard. Excellent brown woodgrain plastic scabbard with green webbing and typical Danish double set of belthooks. Scabbard throat marked HTK under a crown. (= Haerens Tekniske Korps= Army Technical Corps)
Two German companies produced this model for Denmark. The first serie was made by E. & F. Horster which made the bayonet with a peenend pommel. Later bayonets were made by Carl Eickhorn with a smooth pommel. In total only 33.000 M 62 bayonets were ever made, making this a very rare bayonet.
