Czechoslovakian M 1924"Short Ears"bayonet, altered by Germany. (ABCN601-1)(JN35-1)(K196)
Mauser 98 rifle and carbine. Excellent fosforized reversed fullered blade. CSZ and a capital F on the ricasso. Very nice pommel and crossguard. The blade tang is crisp marked: E - Czech Lion mark-'31. Muzzle ring removed leaving "short ears"! T/O slot in pommel. Z in circle (=BRNO made) stamp on the crossguard. Very nice wooden grips with oil hole, screwed to the tang. Excellent blued metal scabbard with CSZ and E- Czech Lion mark- '31 on the frog stud. No dents.
This is an early 1931 made Czechoslovakian VZ24 bayonet. It is German altered and refurbished after 1939. No German markings.
