In 1954 Canada ordered a small number (2.000 only!) Belgian FAL rifles and bayonets for field trials. These trials bayonets are all numbered X2 E1 on the blade tang and a low serial number on the right side of the pommel. British trials bayonets are marked: X2 E1 followed by the serial number underneath the blade tang.
Seldom found Canadian X2 E1 trials bayonet in a great condition.! Less often seen than the British version.
