Austro-Hungarian M 1888 NCO bayonet by OEWG. Bulgarian contract.(ABCN388-4)(K112)(JN98-1)
Austrian Mannlicher rifle M 1888 Kal. 8 mm. NCO bayonet. Bulgarian 5 digits serial number: 19456 followed by a crisp rampant Bulgarian lion on the crossguard. Excellent+ bright finished fullered blade. Cutting edge downwards. Ricasso is marked with the Austrian makers trademark: OEWG. Excellent bright finished pommel with lanyard loop and a bright finished crossguard with muzzle ring MRD 16.5 mm. NCO hooked quillon. Fastener on the top of the pommel. Excellent+ wooden grips riveted to the blade tang.
Excellent green painted steel scabbard. Frog stud with the trademark of the Austrian maker: V.&N. (= Vogel & Noot) and an Austrian Crest.
Very nice and scarce example.
