English trials X2 E1 bayonet (ABCN224-2)(BCB-B318/C14)(K50)(JN27

FAL X8E1 Experimental FAL rifle, 7.62 mm NATO. Serial number: X2 E1 11933 on the blade tang. Excellent bright finished long blade with large false edge. First c. 30 mm. of the blade are blackened. Very nice wooden grips secured to the blade tang with screw bolts. Parkerised pommel and catch with small ring. Parkerised crossguard and a muzzle ring with a 2 prongs flash disrupter. MRD 15.5 mm. Excellent parkerized scabbard with no dents. Scabbard throat is crisp marked X1 E1. 
Comes with a Minty and correct green FN FAL frog.

Rare experimental bayonet. These Belgium made bayonets were used for the Canadian, British and Australian X8E1 FAL trials in 1954.
