Belgian M 1889 Infantry short bayonet used by P.F. (ABCN399-4)(K116)(JN17-2)

Belgian FN Mauser 1889 Infantry rifle. Serial number: 8369 on the crossguard ad another serial number: 5402 on the reverse side. Excellent blackened fullered blade. Belgian inspection marking Crown over JS in a trilob on the ricasso. Excellent+ blackened T-slotted pommel and crossguard with forward swept guillon. MRD 17.5 mm. (Not bushed!) Excellent wooden grips secured by two screw bolts and washers. Right grip is stamped with a number: 275. 
Excellent and correct blackened steel scabbard with no dents, some user spurs only. No markings to the frog stud.

These were altered, blackened and arsenal refurbished M 1889 Infantry bayonets. Normally the muzzle ring is bushed to 15,5 mm to fit the FN Mauser M1935 carbine. This one is not bushed, so it must have been used with an M 1889 infantry rifle. 
They were issued to the Belgium Public Forces (P. F.) and saw intensively service in the Belgium Congo in Afrika in the fifties.

Rare Belgian Colonial bayonet, not often found. Very nice example!
