Belgian M 1889/35 Infantry short bayonet. (ABCN399-4)(K116)(JN17-2)

Belgian FN Mauser 1935 Infantry carbine. / Bayonet model M 1889/35. Serial number: 4332 on the crossguard ad another faint (canceled ) serial number: 8513 on the reverse side. Excellent blackened fullered blade. Blade spine is marked with a N in a box. Excellent bright finished  T-slotted pommel and crossguard with forward swept guillon. Bushed muzzle ring: MRD 15.5 mm. Excellent wooden grips secured by two screw bolts and washers.
Excellent and correct blackened steel scabbard with no serieus dents. No markings to the frog stud.

These were altered and arsenal refurbished M 1889 Infantry rifle bayonets. The muzzle ring is bushed to 15,5 mm to fit the FN Mauser M1935 carbine. They were issued to the Belgium Public Forces (P F) and saw intensively service in the Belgium Congo in Afrika in the fifties.

Rare Belgian Colonial bayonet, not often found.
