Belgian Comblain M 1882 Civil Guard rifle. Serial number: 3688 on crossguard. Superb bright finished T-shape blade marked: GD and S in a circle on the blade spine. Excellent bright finished pommel and crossguard with muzzle ring: MRD 17.1 T-slot in pommel. Forward swept quillon faint marked with tiny markings on both sides of the finials. Crossguard is unit marked: 390 C (= Civil Guard district: Morlanwelz, Carnieres, La Hestre) and serial number on the reverse side. A large inspection stamp AP in an oval over a small crown facing the blade. Excellent wooden grips fixed to the blade tang by two steel rivets. Large screwed-on external spring.
Excellent and correct blued steel scabbard with a small olive shaped frog stud. Scabbard is faint unit marked: AN over 87 (= Civil Guard district: Namur). No dents.
