Belgian M 1868 Civil Guard bayonet. (ABCN1720)(K0)(JN0)

Belgian M1868 Civil Guard carbine,  M 1870 Comblain system. Rifle number: 2952  in the mortise slot. Excellent long fullered bright finished yatagan blade with the typical Belgium inspection marking: Crown over HD in a trilob, followed by the year of production: 1869 on ricasso.  P in a diamant shape on the reverse side. The blade shows two small spots of fine staining only. Excellent single piece brass hilt with much more rounded pommel then a Chassepot bayonet.  External square spring fixed by a screw. Crossguard with small stains only, is Civil Guard marked: R over 6826. Muzzle ring MRD 17.2 mm and fastening screw on top. Slot is marked with a small C in a circle. Fast forward swept quillon with marking on the final : P in a diamant shape.
Excellent and correct rare black tooled leather Civil Guard scabbard with a brass top mount and a brass chape. All stitches intact and no serieus dents to the mounts. Frog stud in the shape of a shield.
Rare Civil Guard bayonet, special with its leather scabbard. Many leather scabbards were replaced by steel scabbards.
